The Why Behind This Blog
I have spent my career so far in the trenches of IT as a Tech Support Associate. I’ve spent my days solving hardware issues, managing student devices, and navigating the day-to-day chaos of busy IT environment. While i do love the “fix-it” nature of support, I have my eyes set on a bigger horizon of Cloud and AI security.
Back in November 2024 I was able to accomplish my CompTIA A+ Certification. In May of 2024 I had also received my Bachelor’s degree in Cyber and Data Security which although it was from an accredited college I felt as if i didn’t learn anything. I know in this industry, the learning is forever ongoing. I am starting this blog The Cyber Ledger to document my journey as i tackle my future milestones starting with the CompTIA Network+. I plan on getting the “trifecta” before moving on to the path of Cloud, and AI Security because i believe that these certifications are a good starting ground for beginner fundamentals.
I am creating this blog for everyone, I won’t ever beg anyone for money, My “Buy Me a Coffee Button” is completely optional i will not beg or ask in any post. I Want this blog to be for all of us to learn together we are of course in this together, I am no expert in this industry and i will probably make mistakes. If anyone notices a mistake, or misinformation please feel free to contact me and we can work on getting the information fixed. If anyone want’s to collaborate or just talk about topics like a “study group” feel free to contact me as well. I am a real person with real everyday tasks. I do promise to get back to anyone who contacts me as soon as i can.
Learning Out Loud
They say the best way to truly master a concept is to teach it to someone else. That is the mission and point of this blog. I’m not writing this as a world-class expert I’m writing this as a student.
On this blog, you can expect to find:
- Lab Reports: Step-by-step walkthroughs of the home labs I work on (if it is free to accomplish).
- Study Notes: My “Aha!” moments when a complex networking or security concept finally clicks.
- The Roadmap: A transparent look at my progress, the resources I’m using, and the hurdles I’m Jumping over.
Join The Journey
Whether you are a fellow tech support professional looking to level up, or a student just starting your first certification, i hope my notes can help you as much as they will help me.
If you find a guide here that helps you understand a concept or pass a quiz, feel free to stick around! We’re all in this together.
